Rancho 9000's

Need some new shocks on my 03 FX4 and I'm looking at the 9000's with the in cab adjustible shocks. Anyone form any opinions on this shock? Is it the best, or whats better?

i HIGHLY recommend them
i have had them on 2 supercrews myself (one a rancho lifted, & my current stock)
personally the only thing you can compare them to are the pro comp mx-6, which isnt near the quality of the rancho
but talking better there is always the bilstein 5100s
what do you use your truck for?
tow much?
offroad much?

Do you know if it is possible to adjust these like the bilstiens to bring the front end up? And also what does the install roughly cost to have these installed?

I have had RS9000 shocks on my Jeep for the last six years. These are great shocks and I highly recommend them with the dual incab adjustment setup,

The shocks will not alter your ride height one bit. They are not designed as 'air shocks' from 30 years ago.

Good, thats what I wanted to hear! basically I use my truck for everyday driving, but I do use it quite a bit. I live in Wisconsin so i got some snow sometimes, and I haul snowmobile trailers, ice shanties, and such. And when the lakes are frozen some deffenite off roading out on the ice!

I had a 2001 Screw 4x4.

I went with Edelbrock IAS shocks. I couldn't have been happier with them.

I now own a 2005 FX4 lifted with RS9000 shocks. They are ok but I would probably go with Edelbrock if they were available for the lift. It's not that its a bad shock but the adjusters sit facing forward, in front of and lower than the axle. I have smashed 2 of them since having this truck. They are costly to replace the whole shock.

They do work well on and offroad except the adjuster issue.

Good luck.
