Crank torsion bars and Add-a-Leafs

Hi, I have a 1998 F-150 4x4 extended cab short box, and the rear end is sagging a bit and has lost weight capacity. I phoned a spring shop and they said they would crank my torsions about 2", then re-arc and add-a-leaf the back to make it 1" higher. Is this going to cause me any problems?? My truck has 150,000 miles on it so I don't want to wreck the front end now. I would just like any suggestions or ideas from anyone. Thanks.

Won't wreck the front end at all... Just make sure that it's a decent mechanic doing the work, cause the torsion bars have top be cranked up equally on both sides... Then you will need to get an alignment... An add a leaf will give you about 1 inch of lift in the back, and depending on the leafs rating, bring the capacity back to near stock.
