level lift questions

hi, i see some people running 6" lifts with leveling kits. is this possible? i have a 6 inch pro comp right now and iam looking to clear 20" wheels with 36" iroks. will my lift with a level kit clear those without any problems?? also, what is used to lift the back? my setup is below, can you tell me if i already have a level kit installed. thanks alot.

I would not use a leveling kit with the standard 6 inch Pro Comp lift. Instead I would add the adjustable Pro COmp coilovers that will allow you to crank up the preload on the coilspring to gain a little lift. I wouldn't stack two spacers together. Out back, you can install a taller lift block or an add-a-leaf.

doesnt look like you have a spacer installed. wut you see on top of the spring like a coil pocket.

dont see why 36s wont fit with just the 6 inch lift. you could always put an add a leaf in the rear to put that up more.

so that isnt a spacer on top of the coil?? wandell, maybe you can chime in about that. also, what is so dangerous about adding a leveling kit with this standard pro comp lift? has it been done? i dont do any offroading, just daily driving.

That is a 6 inch Pro Comp spacer on top of your coilover shock, which comes with the standard 6 inch Pro Comp lift. I'm not sure if it is dangerous to add another spacer on top of that, but I don't think it's the best option.

Seriously, just get the adjustable coilovers, a taller block/add-a-leaf or just get the 3" body lift.

PS: Trust me, the 36s will rub without a doubt with just the 6" lift.

iam going the 3" body route. thanks for all your help and sugestions. so 6" and 3" body will work with 20 x 10 moto metal 951's and 36x13.50 iroks? the 20 x 10 isnt to wide? will it cause rubbing? i read this on pro comps website under FAQ's.

Can I run 10" wide wheels with your Chevy or F150 kits?
No you cannot. 8" is the maximum recommended width – see tire size guide.
