About this leveling kit business.

I have seriously thought about installing a 2" leveling kit on my 06 FX4 Screw. Though, having read where members have had upper ball joint problems has slowed my decision down. I would really like the lift in the front, but do now want to ruin the ball joints and void my 100,000 warranty. So, the members whom have had problem I wonder if these were install correctly? This supposed problem is the only thing holding me back.

Happy holidays.

I really don't think you can install a levelin kit wrong. I also think most of the members that had ball joints wear out were using the 2.5 inch kits. There are also a lot of members with 2.5 inch kits that have had no problems.

I had the dealer that I bought my FX4 from install mine right after I bought it. I have a AS 2.5" It look great and no problems whatsoever. I say, go for it! It improves the look 110%!!!

My opinion ...just do it. The cost of a ball joint job is no where near an engine replacement or other major job.

That was my reasoning and I installed the 2 inch. I dont worry about it cause a ball joint is not major work.....if it does happen.

You cant let things like that hold you up while you worry...Whats that old saying..."Indecision Killed the cat"? or something like that...
