Lift Questions

hey im looking at buying a new truck 97 body style but i dont want torsion bar wut year did the Not have them??? any help would be great thanks..

and if so wut would be the best lift i want a 6" so i can run 36's

I think that all 4x4 F-150's from 97 - 03 (and 04 Heritage model) have torsion bars up front and the 4x2's have coils.

RIght. The 4x4's had torsion bars and the 4x2's have double a-arms and coilsprings.
