Hey guys i was poking around on ebay just looking at potential stuff and i stubbles across this a lift kit made by rough country called the x-series and it says to be a 4-5 inch lift with shocks for a total of $1390...Has anyone heard anything about rough country X-series lifts and there performance? feed back would be awesome.

rough country is poor quality not as good as the name brands........ie...fabtech, rize, rcd, even procomp

 

yeh i have found that with the lifts you typically get what you pay for...but i just wanted to see if anyone had this lift and how it looked/worked...anyone else who has this lift it would be cool to here from you.

 

I'm looking at my January 2007 Petersen's 4Wheel & Off-Road Magazine where they ran a real world test with kits from RCD, Pro Comp, Trail Master, CST, Skyjacker, Rough Country, Rancho, Superlift and Rock Krawler. They had them all set up on '99 - '06 Chevys. (I know a sacralidge)

Rough Country finished WINNER as Best Hauler and RUNNER-UP as Most Off-Road Worthy Undercarriage.

So Rough Country can't be all bad.

This company got great reviews is the mag, and won the shootout over the big brands. Too bad they were on Chevy trucks.

I would however agree that you get what you oay for, and I would save for a rize, or top level fabtech, rcd, cst, etc.

Get the better shocks as it makes a huge difference.

this might be a dumb question, but if they did so well on chevy's how far away could the results on a ford be? because if they are good enough to be winning awards they they should be pretty good right??

might not be worth it to try and save like 3-4 hundred
