6" fabtech on 2wd?

As the title reads, I'm lookin to put a 6" fabtech on my 06 F150 2wd. Other than being completely obsessed with this website, I really don't have a lot of knowledge about lifts. I understand that anytime you customize your truck things wear out quicker, so thats to be expected.

**Sooo my question is, I'd like to put the lift on and go with some 33's (I think), will there be any other major changes (brake lines, etc) or add-ons that I'll need to make or does everything pretty much come with the kit??

I have a AS 2.5 but I haven't put it on yet. But from the sounds of it, it's better to leave it off. Right?

Thank you!!

The 6 inch Fabtech lift would be a great lift for your 4x2. It should include everything you need and will allow you to fit 33's easily, in fact you could probably fit 35's. The only other mod you might need it to regear your rear differential if you decide to go with 35's. Whether you have to or not will depend on your powertrain. Which engine and gear ratio do you have now?

You should be fine with 33's. You will probably be happy with your trucks performance with 35's unless you tow/haul heavy loads on a regular basis.

I just installed the 6in fabtech. The kit recommends a 17x8 wheel with a 315/70/70 tire which is about a 34.5inch tire.. You have to cut the front valance about a 1/2 inch...its really easy and you cant even see the cut. You can go to the fabtech website and read the instructions for further help. Also the cheapest place i found the lift was offroadunlimited.com

Thanks guys!! I was hoping u would respond. I was actually just researching it. I was a little confused cause I saw a member who was running 17X9 and fabtech says 17X8. Question though, I can't find the lift on 4wheelonline...at least not for 06 2wd? Am I just blind and I need to look again.. Be honest, I can take it

I have the 4x2 Fabtech kit and it is the greatest mod I have done. A real head turner. I'd go with the 35's here is what mine looks like:

I was just going to email you. I love your setup! Once I saw your truck I knew I had to lift it. Any cons? (wheel/tire combo - rubbing, vibration, etc) Thanks!
