What are my options ? What would you do ?

Hi,

I placed a $ 500.00 deposit for a 6" Rize suspension lift, the kit was delivered last Friday and this Monday i brought my truck for the install but the dealer have been calling saying his lift person called in sick and yesterday he stated that he got another lift person working on my truck. Today he called me saying that we have to reschedule next week because he is not confident aboout this new lift person.

The install should have only been taken a 1 1/2 day but it's been for 4 days now that he has my truck. I'm not even sure if he will have a capable lift person to install the lift. Also, i will entail additional cost to pick up the truck because at this time no one can accompany me at this time. I will need to take a taxi to go to the dealer and drive the truck home and it won't be easy because i installed the 35" tires and it rubs when i make when i make turns.

Should i just call it quits, get my deposit back and find another dealer or what do you guys suggest ? Any input will be appreciated.

As my dealer did in a similar situation.....they should give you a free rental untill the job is done. The dealership I use has done this for me twice. Ask the service manager, he should not blink an eye as he gives it to you. GOOD LUCK!

yep, at a minimum they should be giving you a loaner for any time above and beyond what they originally stated as a time frame. Just talk to the service manager and let them know that you appreciate them keeping you informed with the situation, but you need something to drive, they should have no problem.
