Rize 8" on 06 F150

I was reading the instructions on the 8" rize kit, and it states it needs a new, or lengthened front drive shaft. The say nothing about the rear drive shaft. Does anything need to be done to it? I have a crew cab with a 5.5 box.

Does anyone have any comments about this kit?

The Rize kits are getting rave reviews. Heck, they look more like works of art than suspension lifts!

yep front needs a little work, but so does the fabtech...

As for the rear.. No i dont think anything is needed. Although some people are having a vibration i believe, which will be fixed with a new rear driveshaft..

I measured my rear drive shaft and its 58 inches long. Are you guys who are running this kit on the stock rear driveshaft or new ones?

my rear shaft and front shaft is stock. on all kits u need to reclock and balance the front one i have not done that yet. that is because at highway speed in 4x4 u will get a vibration, but i dont know about u i am not driving over 30 35 miles and hour in 4x4 anyway. the kit is a great kit i have had zero problems with 6000 miles on it now.

I didn't have to change my driveshafts and it's been 2000 miles without any vibration issues.

i have not either but i have not driven it in 4x4 yet either. that is when the front driveshaft factors in and that is the one that has to be reclocked.

What do you mean by reclocked. It seems to me that drive shafts only can go in an x opposite of each other. could you explain reclocking? and why we have to do it?

i dont know exactly how it is done i think one of the splines on the shaft have to be ground down and then put back on in a different position, someone that has done it already may be able to chime in and help.....
