a little confused on the fabtech lifts

im not to familiar with this suspension lift stuff.... and thanks everyone for tolerating me... ha....but i am tryin to figure this out. does either one of the fabtech 6" suspension lifts come with a spacer like the procomp. here is the page....http://www.4wheelonline.com/Products...roductID=71904
im tryin to steer away from the procomp with the spacer. and do u use ur factory coilovers with either of the fabtech lifts? if anyone could give details a lil bit, i think i could put it all together and make a decision. Alot of peeps on here use fabtech and i would feel a lil more comfortable going with the fabtech but not sure which of the two i should go with. Just not a 6 inch spacer! thanks guys!

fabtech uses a longer strut... retains the same old spring but "longer strut" there is nothing wrong with the spacer on the procomp... even cst uses a space and they have a great history. but over all i believe in my opinion the fabtech is a much better lift. its worth the extra cash.

stacking spacers is a bad idea but if you did it on fabtech you would be fine.

Neither the basic Fabtech nor the DL coilover Fabtech uses a spacer. The basic Procomp kit uses a spacer.

I have the Basic Fabtech 6" Kit AND the Daystar 2.5" level kit for a total 8.5" lift.

One of my best friends has a shop( 8 bays, 5 racks, all the air tools you would need) and we did it there. He does lifts all the time so it wasnt a big deal.

Hey Trooks,,,,how long did it take you guys to instal your lift? Just wondering, maybe if I ever fork up some cash and buy a lift,,,,I would drive down there and see if your buddy's shop wants to do my lift. I would much rather drive down and have somebody that knows what there doing take control.

Installing the lift can be done in a day, but you better count on 2 days.

I will second that statement! Intructions say install time is 7 hours-more like 10 , all the right tools and 2 good pair of hands.

ya, i think it takes us 6/7 hours to install a fabtech lift on a 04 up f150 but thats with 2/3 guys

but we usually have a crew of 4/5 guys working on a truck & it takes about 4 hours to do a whole lift & get it out of the bay & check everything
