It's hard to say. Some trucks need them with 1 to 2 inches of lift with spacers or lift coils, some don't. You may or may not need them to get your alignment correct. It wouldn't hurt to install them. As for the ball joints, you should be able to reuse them. However, they are a high wear item on our truck so I'd do a through inspection of them and the tie rod ends and replace them if you notice any wear since you have the front end partially disassembled.

I've never heard of anyone having to replace ball joints just because they installed lift spindles. As for regearing, with the V6, you will probably want to regear. What gear ratio and tranny do you have?

3.55 and auto. The only real difference in the two tires that i see are the height (285 one inch taller) and weight. Also have you heard of any of these http://www.detroitlocker.com/DEZ.htm and http://www.offroadlockers.com/item.p...6/106010/.html any good?

Yes, those are lockers. I've heard of the Detroit locker and it's supposed to be a good unit. With a V6 and 3.55's you are gonna want to regear with 33's I believe. That or stop using overdrive!
