just an fyi 3" drop shackles 05scab

When I did a search there was a lot of guessing and "you need shims" "no you don't" When I was trying to figure out if I needed to put some shims between the axle and leaf springs to keep the pinion angle at factory geometry. Well, I got one of those ebay kits and asked them if the 2" front 3" rear kit needed shims and they said yes and I got those from them as well as the drop. Here are some things I learned:
-Get a camber kit before you start and take the lower control arms off the frame to get the front struts off.
-The rear is super easy with a floor jack and some jack stands. Just have some strength or an impact gun to make is fast and easier.
-The rear shims are 2 degrees and the driveshaft is perfectly aligned with the pinion. (just make sure you put the shims in the right way or your pinion will be pointing towards the floor)
-My spring compressor was made for cars and started to look unsafe as it was compressing the truck spring so I took it to sears auto center after many calls where they only charged me $15 per strut to take the old springs off and put the new ones on. everyone else was at least $80!
-It looks great but still has a gap in the back. Ride isn't bad at all and just a tad firmer than stock.

I just took some pics for ya (didn't even think to take pics. haha)
The last one also shows my ebay cut out grille (bumper grill was bolt-over and after doing it, would not do cut-out again)
