AfterMath of AutoSpring
Alright ive had my autospring for about 20,000 miles now and i think it might be time to change my ball joints i dont think i want to upgrade to anything special but what else is out there besides stock upper control arms and what else is going to have to be replaced besides the upper control arm.... how much would new stock parts cost any know????
The upper control arm and balljoint do not come apart.. You can buy them for $70 per side.. so $140 total from ford.. Im sure those prices will rise eventually though..
Otherwise the only other UCA that i know of for our trucks is the Total Chaos arms which run about $700

out of pure curiosity... you "think it might be time to change my ball joints"... why do you think this? any tips to help in a diagnosis? or is this just a 'well, they've been on for 20k, lets just replace em for s's & g's...'
btw, ive had mine on for 22.5k so far

jack it barely off the ground and put a bar under the tire and have some one lightly move the bar up and down to move that side susp. and look for movement between the upper A arm and the spindle or atleast thats how we check them in MO, SE MO.
there are two companies out there that make after market upper controll arms that i know of..... total chaos i found for about $650 and cst im not sure how much they cost i would be a special order but im asuming a bit less.
