fabtech and balancing my drive shaft?

fabtech and balancing my drive shaft?

ok........ so i went to 4 wheel part today to get a quote on a fabtech 6'' with coilovers; first off it was $500 more then getting it online, second he said that i have to get my front driveshaft balanced!!!!!!!! what??? i have never heard of that in my god forsaken life!!!! what do you all think?

lift kit

I have a 2006 FX4 which I lifted 6 inches and mine runs like a dream. They didnt do a darn thing to mine.

Yes, you'll need to get the front driveshaft balanced. . check out the instruction manual if you don't believe me. .

4WP matches prices, bring in your internet source and they'll match it.

how much does it cost to get my drive shaft balanced??? i was just getting very angery the guy was an a$$ he was treating me like i was retarded!

ok front drive shaft i find that funny probly a good idea but come on how often u plan on using 4x4 just a like fun in the mud who cares 95% of people never have the 4x4 drive engage during driving

. . Its a $100 why wouldn't you do it? Otherwise soon as you put it in 4WD, your truck is going to shake like no other which could damage other things.

With my suspension kit the drive shaft required a slight modification. I had to remove the spline key and RE-orient the drive shaft ends. From the factory the driveshaft ends are 90 degree offset. the suspension kit has you reclock one end so that they match (not 90 degrees offset). After I performed the simple modification as stated in the instructions... I took my front shaft to a DriveLine shop and had it rebalanced and rebooted. My cost was $15.00.

I believe that's the same requirement as the fabtech kit too.
