Leveling kit

Hi, i am 18 and i am wanting to start modding my truck. I have an 02 supercab 4x2. I was thinking about getting the daystar 1.5 spacers but i didn't know how level it would actually make it. i want to put I know you could do spindle's but i don't know where to find them. And with the daystar 2.5 kit you have to get a new control arm any suggestions on which one. And last if i went with 1.5 could i fit 285/75/16 on the stock rim? Thanks for any help. This site has been real helpful

You can lift the front up to 2 inches with lifted coil springs or coilspring spacers without replacing the upper control arms. If you go higher than that, the front end won't align without the new upper control arms. You can combine the Daystar coil spring spacers and lift spindles if you want. You can usually find Doestch spindles on Ebay at good prices. Also, you will be able to fit 285/75-16's with only a coil spring spacer. You could actually stuff them on the truck stock, but they look a lot better with a lift.

hey wandell thanks for the info. On http://www.performanceproducts4truck...on+Lift+System it says that the 2 inch would need the new control arm, do know why they say that. Again you have been a big help.

From what I've read here and at FTW, 2 inches is the limit. You may need a camber kit, but I don't think you need control arms.
A 265/75-16 is basically a 32x10.50 tire while a 285/75-16 is basically a 33x11.50 tire. Usually the larger the tire, the more it cost.

The 1.5 Daystars should get you close to level. Like I said, you may or may not need the camber bolts to get your alignment correct. THey are available at any auto parts store.

what would be the difference in me going with the daystars and these coilsprings? http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku. what other parts would i need or would i just need to install those. Also what about shocks, would i need longer ones? Again you have been very helpful.

You can go with the lift coils or the coil spring spacers, just don't combine the two or you will need new upper control arms for sure. The Daystar spacers won't affect your ride while the lift coils may be stiffer. However, if your truck has a lot of miles and you think the OEM coils are sagging, new coil springs may be a good idea. Installation will be the same for both. I don't think you need longer shocks. As for regearing, you should be fine unless you have a V6.

so they both basically do the same thing but i would get a little stiffer ride with the coil springs? If i went with the springs though would it would allow me to change height more correct since it goes between 1 and 6 inches? also i do have the v6 and if i wnet with the 285's i was thinking going for the 4.10 any gear syou would reccommend?
