Lifted truck warranty experts

I finaly found the time in my busy schedule to call my warranty provider (Heritage Warranty) about a 3in body lift i want, and pretty much it looks like a no go.

First they said if i got a lift it would make everything in the contract uncovered, then i brought up magnusson moss and how if the lift didn't cuas the problem i am still covered in other areas and they agreed (tricky bastards). I then talked about how if i had engine trouble with the lift it would be fine, but then they said if you plan on getting bigger tires it is added stress on engine making engine coverage voided. I then asked if i had engine trouble with bigger tires and if it was found that the tires were'nt the cuase would it be covered and the SOB said "theres to many if's involved" not giving me an answer.

~If anyone has delt with problems like this expert opinions are welcome or any opinion at all~

If i did have problems with steering, radiator, brake lines, ect. that are modified from a 3in body lift; or engine, or whathavu from bigger tires, and it was found that the problem wasn't cuased from the modification would the warranty cover it?

Do many problems truely occur from a body lift or bigger tires?

-thx for the help-

P.S. Heritage warranty Co. sux in general and the costumer service people are tricky A-holes.

From the way you sound "You do not need to put and modifications on your truck' Just drive it unto the warranty expires and then "Mod It'. I personal feel that I paid for it, I am going to set it up the way I want it. And when and if a warranty issues arrises ... I'll cross that bridge when I need to. If they can prove to me that my modifications caused the failure then yes they are right to disapprove the warranty claim. However, the law reads that they(warranty provider) must prove what caused the failure... Not me proving it didn't. I like my truck slighly modified. I have no plans to thrash it so I really see no problems.

From your tone... You'll be better off and have peice of mind if you just leave it stock... BoB

PS. My New 06 had 210 miles on it when I ripped the front suspension out and installed a 4.5" lift and then ripped the rear axle off and installed a 1.5" add-a-leaf..

Sounds like you have learned a valuable lesson about your warranty company. I'm glad you passed it on to us. Basically they told you that they will screw you over any way they can. I'll be sure to tell anyone in the market to avoid Heritage.

Ya i have decided to wait, thanks for the input. But in 2010 (soooo long) when my warranty is about up and hoping that my truck has a limited amount of miles and is in good shape, i will forgo a body lift and just get suspension lift.

FYI- spending my money i was going to spend on a killer pioneer sound system
2 10" inch subs, 800 watt amp, nice speakers, whole set up.

~thx for the input guys~
