OEM 4wd lift blocks

i am sure this has been run into the ground, but i cant find my answer in a search.

i have installed my 2.5" AS in the front. looks great and an easy fix. only took 2.5 hours and 3 hits with a regular claw hammer to break the ball joints loose.

as for the rear, i have the 4wd OEM lift blocks and will install them tonight. my question is, do i need to change the stock 2wd shocks to the 4wd shocks?
or will the 2wd shocks work?

btw i have an 06 4x2 SCrew Lariat if that is a factor....thanks

yes you should change your shocks out. b.c if you go over a bump, or have your truck on a lift, the shock will over extend before the shocks are finished unloading. If you were going the other way like removing 4x4 blocks you would be okay.

that horn should be facing to the inside of the truck, and flat top of the horn facing up.

that allows you to still hit your factory bump stops.

before your go to ford, i would check around and get some bilstean shocks or some rancho 9000s shocks... if your going to buy shocks no reason to go with OEM, with an aftermarket brand you will get better performance... just order then for stock 4x4 height....

seems that people love the 9000's and bilstean's i know im gonna need better shocks ive heard the stock fabtechs are junk but i was looking at some Pro Comp MX-6 stocks maybe with the fluid stop seem to be little less expensive than the others and look better as well
