affordable lift 4-6 inches
affordable lift 4-6 inches
does anyone know of a decent and affordable suspension lift for a 03' flareside reg. cab with a 6.5 bed , and possibly an answer on how big of a tire i might be able to fit in there , would 35's fit ? and how about the width ? , thanks
im 90% sure the Fabtech 6in lift fits the flair side got mine shipped $1350 on sale at national wheel and tire better than any ebay price ive seen and cheaper than most 4in lifts but have seen a procomp 4in for $1330 free ship off 4wheelparts.com i believe you wont beat those prices to easily
forgot your be able to fit 35's easy if you go wide minor trimin on the fenders or 37 with triming

I can't tell you how happy you just made me , 1300 is a lot better than 2000
, another thing .. some guy at work was telling me about the torsion bars ? and how i can raise the front up , is there a way to do that with standard tools or do i need to buy a special tool , does it screw with anything like the way the truck rides and how will effect the truck if i mess with them and then throw a lift on ?

With a 4 to 6 inch suspension lift you can fit a 35x12.50 tire on a 10 inch wide wheel. As for torsion bars, these are basically the front springs on your truck. You can usually gain 1 or 2 inches of lift by cranking up the preload on them. It depends though, each truck seems to have a different amount of preload. Cranking up the preload on the torsion bars makes the initial of the front suspension's travel slightly stiffer. Some people like this, some hate it. You can crank up the torsion bars yourself, but you need a front end alignment afterwards. Here's a pic of one of the torsion bars (there is one on each side). The torsion bar is the long bar, the adjustment key is covered in surface rust and the adjustment bolt is on the bottom. Tighten it to raise the truck, loosen it to lower the truck. Turn each bolt an equal number of turns. Also, it's not unsual for each bar to have a different amount of preload.
