Need Help

I recently got my truck lifted and everything seemed fine until the truck would drift slightly to right.I took my truck back to the shop to get realighned and they said that I needed to replace the upper ball joints and that the upper A-arm needs to be replaced because the ball joints arent replaceable. My question is are they being truthfull and can I do this myself. They want to charge me 420 bucks and I just got the lift and I dont have that kind of cash now. Also how much would the aftermarket A-arm cost any info would help thanks.

It could very well be the ball joints. They are also built into the upper a-arm. You could check the price on Advance Auto's (or other parts chain) website.

It should not cost that much if you do it yourself. I replaced my '00's, and I think they were TRW.(Excellent brand) The hardest thing to do is jack and support the vehicle. Don't forget to get it aligned afterwards. I also assume you have the alignment eccentrics already installed.

Good luck,

MK
