leveling?

Hi everyone. I am new to the site and new to F150 (one week to be percise). I have an "06" supercab 4X4. I am reading that many people have installed 2.5" leveling kits or replaced stock the suspension. What is the reason for this? Is this just on 2WD or also on 4WD trucks? Thanks for the education.

The reason is the rake in your truck, both the 2 and 4 wd have the back sitting higher than the front, and so many people do not like this look and add the leveling kit to have the truck sit level, check out my pictures, i just added a 2.5" kit a few days ago on my 2wd. Its all preference, but i think it looks nice with the kit and its relatively inexpensive to do. Your truck overall sits about 2" higher than the 2wd but has the same rake to it, its all what you would like to do, but IMO i think the leveling kit is a good idea, 1.5, 2, or 2.5 is your own choice. Hope this helps!

I agree. Plus a lot of people are like me and believe that "stock sux". A lot of us just like to personalize our trucks and modify them. I just can't stand meeting a vehicle identical to mine several times a day. I just want mine to be different.
Also, welcome to the site.
