Thanks SOCAL858, when I was doing the removal that what the first thing that came to mind on the premature wear on the BJs. I didn't want jimmy it off or keep striking the knuckle. Glad I had the puller.

 

Soc I am just curious where do i get a ball joint seperator that does not look like the fork, that is the one i have, and the only one i have really seen, it has 3 sizes in the kit from advanced auto, but all 3 are the same shape, and i do not wish to tear up the joint just seperate it. Please enlighten me!

 

I just replaced the ball joints in my truck. I was lucky enough to have air tools... A hand picklefork will work just as well though. Grab a 3 pound hammer and crank the butt of the seperator... she'll move...
