rize vs fabtech

ok gang, i know this kind of question has been posted before...did the search and everything, but could not find a direct match.

anywho....the question is, which is better...the rize 6" lift or fabtechs 6"? given that price is not a factor. i'm pretty sure that everyone will have thier opinion on the two, but i am not sure with which one to go with.

the places i go will be working the suspension quite a bit, so i want something good.

thanks in advance for your help!

oops... fogot this is for a 2006 screw fx4

If I was gonna stay at 6" I would go with Fabtech with the Coilovers but almost everyone wants to go higher after they get the 6". Thats why I would go ahead and get the 8" Rize. Not much of a price diff b/w the 6" and 8" Rize anyways.

Both are excellent kits. You can't go wrong with either.

rize 8" top notch quality. also i am not sure if this matters to u but the rize kit does not bring out the frnt wheel for increased traction width, like fabtech does that was the selling point for me along with the looks and the extra 2" i have a ton of close ups of the kit in my gallery. also the rize kit is less stressfull on the rack and pinion.

Thanks to everyone for your replies! I was not aware that the Rize did not change the offset. The places I plan to go to is kind of narrow. Most lifted mid size trucks have no problem, but full size trucks cut it kinda close to fit on the trails.

I also like the idea of the r & p support on the Rize kit. The suspension will top/bottom out on the lava fields we go.

I like the look of the 8" lift, with the big tires, but my truck is a *ahem* family car first...my wife is 5' 0" and my daughter is 4, so i really can't go that high.

I was wanting to put a 6" and run the stock rims with 33's...how stupid would that look?

in the meantime, I'm going to get the as 2" and bfg atko 33's (won't kill the pocket book and the wife won't grumble ).

Mahalo nui loa!

ok...now i know why you say to go with the 8"...

i just measured my truck, and realized that if i go with the 6 inch, i will actually only get a 4" lift (2" would be for leveling the truck).

ok. i am sold. i will save up for the 8" rize. will 33's still look too small?

You will get 6" up front and like 4" out back for a level look with the 6" kit.

Talking

i was actually talking to one of the guy's from rize yesterday and he told me that the 6" and 8" are actually the same basically, the only difference is the extensions for the for the front shocks, and ofcourse the block in the rear but he said that as of now they are not selling the extension parts seperatly, but thats all you would need to convert the front from the 6" to an 8".
