Suspension and Tire/wheel combination

Hi Folks,

I have a 2001 F150 S/C 4x4 that I want to put a 4 inch suspension lift on. I'm looking at Rancho, Pro- Comp and Trail Master suspensions. Which lift is the best recommended and also I would like to put some new wheels and tires on. What size tires and rims should I use and what backspacing do I need? Any info will help.

Thanks,
Dave

I'd say the Rancho is the best kit out of those three, although there is nothing wrong with the Pro Comp kit. Trailmaster just doesn't seem to be very popular and doesn't seem to have the best reputation. As for tires and wheels, I'd suggest a 10 inch wide wheel with 4.5 inches of backspacing with a 35x12.50 tire. Whether you go with a 16, 17, 18 or 20 inch wheel is strictly a matter of taste. Personally, I think I would go with 18's and a 325/65-18 (35x13.00) tire.

I've seen several people run 35's with 3 inch body lifts or 4 inch suspension lifts.
