bad vibrations

Hello all. Okay so I installed my 2"belltech drop shackles. The truck looks much better now and it seems to handle better also.... Here is the catch, now when I am coming to a stop the truck vibrates in the last 50ft or so.. I think it is the brakes because it is only when I use them, and every time. Or could it be a vibration in the rear suspension? Thanks for your help!!!

I too have vibrations in my rear end when coming to a stop, but more so when doing it on a down grade. I am out in CO. right now and it really does it in the mountains coming downhill. My truck has done this from day one and so has my uncles (same truck). Ford says that there is nothing to worry about that it is just something that happens in these trucks. Try putting about 400-500 lbs winter weight in the bed then see if it goes away. mine did for the most part last winter.

Hope this puts you at ease.

Possibly the driveshaft out of balance? But then again, it sounds like the brakes.

update

I took it to my ford dealer and the brakes are cool. They say it may be in the transmission... I think I screwed up the pinion angle when I lowered the rear. It didn't do it before the lowering.

I dont know what i was thinking, i read right over the fact that you lowered it, if the pinion angle is not dead on, it will vibrate... add shims to make it correct.
