does this cost seem right??

on my 2000 f-150 i just recently added a leveling kit and took it to a local shop for the allinment. the bill came out to be 776.00 . they replaced all the ball joints upper and lower for bolth sides replaced all the bushings and added a "shim kit" (what ever this is maby someone can explaine what that is .) and a allinment . does all of this add up to be 776.00??? they told me it could not be allined properly with out all this work .

That sounds about right. I got charged $400+ just for both lower ball joints (this was at a dealership so their prices might be a little higher).

The shim kit was probably the camber adjustment bolts. The stock bolts dont allow adjustment so anytime you go to get your front end alligned they will have to install those bolts.
