blocks/add a leaf

would it be very to hard or possible to add a leaf and 3" blocks to a 97 f-150 4x4? to level out the front would i crank up the torsion bar or is there other options. i know there are other ways but money is always an issue for me. how would the ride be? thanks in advance

its is very easy to install add a leafs, lift springs or lift block to the rear best off to us add a leafs or lift spring more liably than blocks now the front you can crank up the torson bars but most people only get 2in or so out of this you must also realign the front wheels if you do this

you can get atleast 2'' if your suspension is still nice and stiff.i got about 2'' out of mine when i first cranked em,its saggin a bit now.i would go with an add-a-leaf first to keep the factory blocks and the bump stop.i got about 2 or 3'' out of mine after my 3'' lift blocks came apart, which was a fun ride.it rides a little stiffer but not bad.when you crank the torsion bars it will be a little stiffer too.and if you crank them more than 2'' you start getting into problems with the cv axles.i've had mine cranked for several years with no problems.so,just keep it within reason and you can get a couple free inches out of the front without any trouble.you will need an allignment.
