3'' body lift problem

i had a body lift put on my 06 screw 4x4. now when i go over bumps the stearing shaft rattles and fells like its loose. i took it to ford and they said it was because of the body lift, and that it needed a stearing shaft extender, but it already has the one on it that came with the lift. any body have this problem or know what it may be?

It is probably the steering extension. I don't know about the 04-07's, but on the 97-03's you really have to tighten down on the steering extension to get rid of the play. I finally tightened mine with a breaker bar.

I put the PA 3" lift on my 02sc a couple weeks ago. Same problem.. little bit of a loose feelilng and clicking in the steering. guess I'll hit it with the wrench till it hurts bar.

Great tip on using the GM front tow bars. I put my ford hooks back on and left the lowest part of the valence panel off but after seeing the pics, I'm looking for some gm parts.

Have you replaced your shocks?
bilstiens seems more performance that comfort so I'm leaning towards the rs9000. any input appreciated.

Yeah, I got a set of Pro Comp ES3000's for Christmas. They are an improvement.
