Grinding and vibrations (sounds like a Beach Boys song)

Howdy, guys

I have an 02 SCrew 2WD with a 3" body lift on it. I put the lift on 2 years ago, so I'm prettys sure that the lift isn't the problem......

When I'm going down the road, I feel a frinding in the floorboard and the steering wheel. The pulse of the grinding speeds up and slows down with the speed of the vehicle. Whenever I go over a bump or something, the noise seems to get much quieter and less noticible while the truck is "bouncing". I mean when the shocks are extended and the front end is bouncing, it is better with less pressure on the tires. Does that make sense?

You guys think its the wheel bearings? The brakes are fine, btw. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Having the same sort of problem on my Dodge Ram 4x4. You can lift the wheel you suspect and wiggle it in and out and spin it and listen. There should be very little play and iff there is much play I would guess wheel bearings.

Does the 02 F150 have wheel bearings or do you have to replace the entire hub assembly?
