outer tierod question?
Replace the inner tie rod and the adjusting sleeve too. Everything will go back together like new. Just make sure to screw everything back together so that the overall length is the same as the old assembly. Chances are if the outer is bad the inner isn't far behind. I replace all the tie rod ends and both sleeves at 75000 because they were shot. Much easier than trying to unscrew from the sleeve and only costs about 20 bucks more. Just my two cents.
