2000 leveling

whats the smallest suspension lift i can do for a 2000 f150 ext cab 4x4
i was thinking about a 6" but thats too big. was thinking about the rancho but its way too much for what you get
so what are my other options?
i really dont wanna go with a body lift

I'd go with the 6 inch Fabtech or 5 inch RCD kit. Remember, since our trucks have torsion bars you have a little bit of adjustment as far as ride height. You can leave the torsion bar preload on either of those kits on the light side to get only 4 inches of lift.

i thought the fabtech didnt use the torsion bars to acheive the lift.
in your opinion which is better?
can you use oe wheels with either?

Yes, they all retain the torsion bar suspension. I believe you can use the OEM wheels with both.

I'd rate them pretty much even, but the RCD comes with better shocks (Bilstiens).

ya saw that
i thought i read that the fabtech kit doesnt change the torsion bars; you get a 6" lift with them in the factory spots
also i couldnt find what tire size/etc to use with the rcd kit
would it be 315/75r16s like the fabtech

Leveling kit for 2000 F-150

Ive got a 2000 Ford F150 5.4L supercab 4x4, i'm going to put a 2 inch leveling kit in it and was wondering whats the best kit and will i be able to clear 285x75R-16 MTZ's. I would just do a 4 inch suspension but am a senior in high school and do not have that much money at my disposal.

what kinda 2inch you gettin?
wheres it from?
i was originally looking for a leveling kit but i couldnt find anything except 4"-6" kits
well to tell you one thing, its kinda a waste to get a 4"(talking about the rancho) because for about tha same or less you can get a 6"

i really hope your not paying for a leveling kit. you can level your truck in your driveway in about 10 minutes. no kit needed!!!

ya adams right
i dont even think theres a such thing as a leveling kit for 99-03 f150s (4x4s)
it just takes a lil bit of time to turn your torsion bars

It should. There should be enough free play to compensate for the body lift. Just like with the OEM intake.
