TrailMaster 4" Susp. Lift

Hello.

I have a 3 inch BL and need to clear these 35's. This is mostly on-road driving. Is the Trailmaster lift really THAT bad from what I have read? It is just the most economical way to get another 4 inches compared to the Fabtech. Any input (pros/cons) would be appreciated. Thanks MS

Trailmaster doesn't seem to very popular around here or at FTW. I've head some bad coments about "Trail Diaster" lifts, but I have no experience with them.

I've never heard much good about Trailmaster either. My buddy has an expo with the rancho plus bodylift and has never had any problems.

Are there any good 4" suspension lifts? I want a 4", but only see 2" or 6" from the big names.

For your truck Rancho makes a 4" and Skyjacker makes a 3".

Hello BryanFeelsGood,
I too had a very hard time deciding on what type of suspension lift I wanted. I called several manufactures and asked numerous questions on this forum. After reviewing all feed-back I went with a SuperLift 4.5" suspension kit. My son and I installed the kit in about eight hours over a two day period. The kit went on great. The instructions were very concise. The only cutting required is where the front differential top monting bracket interferes with the new rear cross member. afterward I had the truck aligned at the FORD dealership. I currently have 2200 miles on this kit with no problems.... I do not thrash my truck, So I can not speak about that. However the truck rides great. My wife thought it would ride like a tank but actually it retained most of the factory ride. The majority of the stiffness comes from the rear add-a-leaf. I will provide more realting to this kit as I accrue miles.... Right now I'm very pleased with everything .... BoB

trail masters biggest problem is that the kit does not come with new longer steeing knuckles. instead the use a cheap balljoint spacer which also make your tie rods ride at a harder angle.
