Raising t-bars and gas mileage?

Probably another stupid ??? but does leveling about 2 inches affect mpg's at highway speeds much or is it like splitting hairs? I put a jack under the front, raised 2" and it looked sweet, but felt odd like I had a full load in the bed. How far do you gotta crank them to obtain 2-2.5" of lift and fit a 305/70/17?

I doubt the change in aerodynamics are engough to matter.
How much lift you can get depends on where the preload is set from the factory. Every truck seems to be set a little different. That's why some people can get 2.5 inches of lift and others only an inch. You shouldn't have to crank them much to fit 305/70-17's.

Thanks again wandell for the info. I figured I'd ask to see and you're the guru really in areas like this. If need be I'll trim too, but I may pull it off. I'm pretty much set, now all I need is more $$$$ !!! Anybody want to donate to Salvation Blue F-150??? Ya, keep laughing, I will!
