Need advice on lowering kit

I have a 97 xlt off orad 4x4 and wanted to drop it, because it is very impractical for where i live. I want a even gap around the tirewells. The truck unloaded has 9 inches from the bottom of the wheelwell to the top of the tire. THe front has 5 inches. I just installed bilstein HD shocks all the way around, but will part with hem if neccisary. I was wondering, short of airbags, what is the best drop setup for my truck. i have oem fx4 rims, which i will be running wider tires on, for an aggressive look. any feedback or pics would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Rob

You can pull out the factory blocks in the back, and that will lower you 2 inches. From there, you can get new shackles (most lower around 2 inches), then you could also get new hangers, which can put you down another 2 inches. So right there you can be 6 inches lower in the back.

As for the front, you might be able to turn down your T-bars some, however I dont think I would turn them down too much. There are kits out there made to lower front with new T-bars, and other stuff (not sure what they come with exactley, maybe different lower control arms??). I believe Belltech makes a kit, might want to try searching for that.
