Rear Leveling after suspension lift

Hello,
I added a 4.5 inch suspension lift to my 06 Supercrew 4x4. Everything went excellent. I then installed a Add-A-Leaf rear spring to make front and rear level... well, now the rear still seems about and 1" lower than front. I also use my truck to go camping and fishing on the NC Outer Banx. If I load a few items into the bed the truck really squats down in the rear. Do I need to add a bigger block under leaf spring bundle? How large? Where do I get blocks? Or what other method of "Leveling the Rear" do you suggest? I did replace rear shocks (Longer than stock). They came with the add-a-leaf kit. Thanks for all responses..... BoB

I hope I'm not re-inventing the wheel, I did several searches on this subject prior to starting a new thread.....

I would just replace the OEM 2 inch lift block with a 4 inch lift block. THat would give you 2 more inches of lift and would be better than stacking another 2 inch lift block on top of the OEM block.

I did a 6" Fabtech lift and ended up adding a Skyjacker add a leaf to get the back end up, which worked, and is very solid. I think the block in the rear is 4", and there is no "leveling" block up front.

Further after driving the truck around the rear springs were squeeking a bit, even with the nylon round pads at the spring ends. Sooooo, we took the rear springs apart completely, added black Starboard ( a tuff nylon ) in pieces cut the same width as the springs, and same length between all springs. The result ? No more squeeks, and it also added a little more height which helped too.

So now when I put any load in it, she stays flat, and she doesnt squeek either. Good deal all the way around.

Thanks GoBIG,
I ordfered the Skyjacker Add-A-Leaf. The truck is level and holds pretty much the same even when loaded with our gear. Thanks to all for the responses... Oh I did place a rubberized substrate between the springs to prevent the squeaks.... Thanks for the tip. BoB
