I am wanting to get a 3" body lift for my 2006 F150 4x4 , but the local parts guys say they only have out the kits for the 04-05 models. My friend says that there is absolutely no difference between the 05 and the 06 ...as far as the body lifft would be concerned. Can you elaborate any on this or ask your contacts at PA what the deal is?

I'm not sure on the new trucks. I know there was an issue on the 04's with the Performance Accessories kits only fitting trucks with the 5.4 engine. I can't imagine what could have been different on the trucks with the 4.6 engine. I agree that there appear to be no differences on the 06. However, because of the above problem I would contact Performance Accessories and ask them to make sure.

I called and talked to Dale at PA. He told me that some experienced installers he has sold 05 kits to have made them work on the 06s ...regardless of 5.4 or 4.6. The only problem they encountered was the rear bumper brackets do not mount up properly and new holes have to be fabbed to line up properly.
He told me I could go that route or just wait 90 days until the 06 kit would be released. Since I am in no hurry, Im gonna just wait. Either way it sounds like if you could get a better price on an 04-05 kit and use it on an 06 then it would make sence also.
