Leveling Kit Problem for my 03 4x2

Ok so I went to buy my front end leveling kit and come to find out that the biggest kit you can do on a 03 4x2 without replacing the control arms is a 1.5" I wanted to go with bigget tires then what came on the truck but I don't know if that small of a lift will allow me to fit anything bigger. Anyone know what just a 1.5" will allow me to go up to? Just trying to figure out if it worth getting.

I know I could do a body lift but I dont have the $$ for the labor on that right now so the leveling kit is my only option if I do something right away.

Anyone got any pics of the 03 4x2 with the kit so I can see what a 1.5" kit looks like installed?

I believe you can go 2 inches without replacing the upper control arms. But anyway, you can fit a 285/75-16 or 285/70-17 (33x11.50's) with the OEM wheels or 8 inch wide aftermarket wheels.

Any idea what the cost would be to go with the 2.5 in and replace the control arms too?

I'm not sure. However, there was a link here and at FTW to an auction by Suspension Max and Ebay for a set of 3 inch Doestch lift spindles and lift blocks that started around $280. That sounds like a great buy to me.

Anyone know if this I will have the same issues with a 06 4x2? I'd like to go with a 2.5 front lift.

Thanks

Your truck is completely different with different suspension system. You have IFS with coilover shocks while the 97-03 4x2 F-150's have IFS with coil springs. Several members here and at FTW have installed 2.5 inch leveling kits (Daystar, Autospring, RevTek, etc) on 04-06 F-150 4x2's without any problems.

I'll throw in my .02. I have the Suspension Max Spindle kit and its been flawless. ABS sensor holes are in the proper place, and no real installtion issues. Compared to Pro Comp or Fabtech, the price is unbeatable. Nothing against either of them, but I have the same kit they sell for less than half the price.
