Ya, I did. They were a bad representation of this lift. Those pics were taken as soon as I pulled the jack out from underneath the truck, before the tires were sitting level and BEFORE the alignment which brought the front end of the truck down 1 inch+. Like WOWAK said, this has been a trouble free lift. I don't have as many miles as he does on the clock, but still.

If you think about it, this lift is only .5" bigger than the 1000's of people putting the 2.5" leveling kit on. I get more suspension travel and with the smaller diameter coil I don't have to worry about the "rub". When these guys start having problems with the angles, I'll get nervous.
I've crawled under those trucks and mine looks pretty much the same as those. You guys (even 2wd guys ) can rag on this lift as much as you want, I'm happy with it, looks and rides great, and was the right price. Happy trails...

Ok, I didnt know that those pics were taken before you had the truck aligned... Since that is the case, im sure it looks a little better now... My only real concern about ur setup was the way the UCA balljoints were, it just looked like they were maxed out..

Ya, they did look bad in those pics, they do have a fair amount of play left though. With the 2.5 level kits or the 3"SJ I actually am more worried about the tie rod ends than the ball joints in the long term.

hmfic,

I remember reading somewhere that the Skyjacker 3" made the truck ride rough or stiff compared to the factory retained ride of the AS kit, any truth to it ?

Its hard to explain, Cracks seem bigger / rougher, while bigger bumps seem smaller. It is stiffer than factory, but it feels smoother.

Hello HMFIC (Nice name) What a nice truck. I am having some suspension work done on mine now... I hope everything works out. The pictures did show extreme angle of UCA... but with your explanation I can understand why. I am just trying to find the best SMALL suspension lift. I just do not need 6-8" of suspension. I just want to run 35" tires and I think a 4.5" sus. lift is all I'll need. I have reviewed so many on this forum and it appears each manufacture has its +/-. Bottom line... If you are happy thats all that matters. I like your truck... Where did you find the mud flaps? BoB
