Squeeky shocks...
I noticed yesterday that my shocks are squeeking, mainly in the front. Also, if the truck is parked and i wiggle the steering wheel side to side, I hear the same squeek. Any idea of what this could be? My friend's f-150(same year) had squeeky shocks after he sunk it in the mud one day, and to this day they still squeek. My truck doesn't go mud bogging so I know it's not that. The ride is still the same, feels smooth as usual and it doesn't pull to the side or anything, it's just annoying.
You have another of the infamous Ford problems: a bad ball joint. Mine does it, my buddies does it...Just about everyone with a 150 is gonna have this problem at one time or another... Jack the front of your truck up, and grab the top of the tire. There should be little to no back and forth play. More than about 1/2", change your ball joints. Don't buy OEM replacements, because just like the factory, there are no grease fittings. Buy Moog, about $30 apiece, and replace them...
