Question 2.5 Inch front level....

I have an '05 F150 Regular cab longbed 4x2 with the 5.4 Triton and 4:10 rearend and 2,000 miles on it.
I've seen 2.5 inch front levelers to bring the front up level with the rear?
Which is the best? Do any of have just that on your trucks?
Any problems later down the road?
Ride quality suffer?
Front suspension stay the same alignment wise?
Void warranty?
Size tires that can be put on? I have factory 17's on there now with factory silver steel rims.

Thanks....

A lot of people like the Autospring. Look for them on eBay. I got mine for $89 bucks including shipping. I haven't had any problem and really haven't heard of anyone have problems due to a leveling kit. I couldn't tell any difference in the ride quality. You will have to get an alignment if you put one on. Depending on your dealer you could have a warranty issue, but I really do not see how. Some dealers are just butts, if you know what I mean. Do not know about max tire size on a 4x2. Hope this helps you out some.

With a 4x2 you may want to look at just putting a 2" kit on. If you pull or haul a lot you will notice that the rear sags more with a kit on.

Just my 2 cents...

I have the autospring 2.5" leveling kit on my 2006 4x2, probably the easiest kit to install. I've had mine on for about a month, maybe a little longer now and haven't had any problems with it. The ride quality didn't change one bit, but the look of the truck changed dramitically. Yes you will need an alignment after the kit is installed, I just took mine to a shop and they did the install and alignment together and it cost me $189 total. As for warranty you'd have to check with your dealer, like djh said, some dealers are just butts.

As for tires after installing the 2.5" leveling kit you can go up to 33" tires on a 4x2. That's my plan as soon as I save up the money for them. Personally adding the leveling kit is the best mod I have done to my truck so far.

Yes your truck looks great, Seems to have the stance of a 4x4. I would like to hear from you when you get more miles on it. My brother has the 4x2 supercrew and he likes everything about it except the nose down angle. he wants it level. he was asking me to look into a leveling kit. I will point him to the Auto Spring kit on E-bay. Thanks

First of all great site/information y'all have here, 2nd, Just picked up my truck Friday and I love it. After looking at some Dodge pickups and telling the salesman where to go I went to the local ford dealer where I made a smokin deal on the truck. I have to send a thanks out to Charlie Justice at Ramey Ford in Beckley, WV I know he busted his ba**s on this sale 3rd I also bought the Autospring 2.5 kit on ebay and can't wait for the install. I plan on doing the install myself anyone know how much the alignment will run me?

I have an 04 F-150, and I bought a coilover kit from donahoe racing. It's awesome. It actually can go up to 3'' of lift, but it's not recommended cause of the stiff ride. The factory suspension on our trucks is useless. I put the coilovers in myself. I can fit LT285/75-17. It pretty much levels the truck, actually it's an inch higher in the front which looks great. Working on pics.

Buckshots are the cheapest tire i know of. I love them. You can get 40,000 out of them if you rotate them. Half the price of the expensive ones.

Great look. Love the tires know matter what people say

First of all, this is my first post on this site. Thank you all for all of the information you have already provided me. There seem to be a lot of very knowledgable individuals around here.

Here's my issue. I'm looking to put a 2.5" leveling kit to clear the 35x12.50 ProComp A/T's. From what I've read so far, they should be ok (though not perfect) on my 17x7.5 OEM wheels. Since I'm pushing the limit as far as size goes in my wheelwell, should I opt for a leveling kit that would stiffen up my ride a little (like the two-piece kits) or would I be ok with the AutoSpring 2.5" single piece (which will help maintain the original factory ride)?

Yes, you're pushing it with 35/12.50's, but you should be fine...lots of guys at this site have done it and love what they've got...I'm looking at the 2.5" autospring kit with 35/12.50/18's myself and I'm not worried about a thing...keep asking around if you need reassurance because this is the place to get answers..._motes

I purchased the 2" Autospring kit on eBay last year for $65. Finally had it put on last week. Took it to an alignment shop and they put it on and did the alignment for $115. Levels the truck out nicely. Now, I'm waiting on the new BFGoodrich 305 65 18 A/T's. Local tire shop has placed the order for 4 and they are scheduled to have them mid-August. Just need to decide on a wheel now

Installed the Autospring 2.5 lift highly recomend it very easy install! window tint & bed cover. Now the tires look kinda small so now I gotta look for some wheels & tires. But I'd like to go with some 18x8 or 9s with some 32" tires. Choices, choices, choices [IMG][/IMG]
