lift o level
lift o level
i just got a 2004 F-150 and right now im trying to decide whether to lift it or level it whats the price difference between a lift and a level and what companies have the most durable stuff.
cheapest. grab a daystar leveling kit. believe their around 100 bucks. PA body lifts 3" are 180 bucks, but you either need knowledge or another 400 or so to get it installed. so based on price do a leveling .. b ut if price is no option i would do an 8" rize kit, some 16x10 american racing wheels those teflon coated ones, throw on some 37" boggers, a 12,000lb winch, full roll bars 6 aux lights, alternator upgrade, 4.88 gears front and back. take out those stablizer bars and drive off into the sunset... but thats just me.
i think thirsty mate is crazy
a body lift for our new trucks runs 350 roughly with gap guards...
i personally am buying the rize 8" lift
boggers would last lik 8k miles
and most 16 inch wheels dont fit on our new trucks due to our larger brakes...very few 16's work.

I've had 2 of the new F-150's leveled with spacers and found that they both were "over-level" so this time I snooped around this forum and ended up with the leafs. I think you'll agree it looks way better once you get your spacers installed.
I do agree with the above advice, though, do a search and you'll get TONS of good info here.

If you do alot of highway driving and commuting you should just get a leveling kit. The truck looks good and maintains most of its highway characteristics, as well as not a big mpg difference. Lifting looks great but mpg decrease and the cost is factor. With a leveling kit you can keep the same wheels and put bigger tires. with a suspension lift you would need to get tires, wheels, and a couple of grand on labor and parts for the lift alone.
Depends what you want and what you will do with it. Post some pics whatever you decide.

I have a 2"AS and a 1.5" skyjacker AAL. All I need now are 33's. Truck rides better than stock.
