Rear Air Bags...Better Ride Quality

Just curious, as I'm not too familiar with the actual ride quality of air bags.....I don't want to lower my truck or lift it....I want to know if putting airbags between the rear leaf springs and the bed will help absorb some of the road bumps and vibrations in the back....with the rims/tires I have, if i hit a pothole the rear end dances around pretty good.....has anyone done this or have any opinions???

Hey,
Yea, I put airbags in my truck to better carry the weight of my 8ft camper and they definately help for that when carrying a load, but to tell the truth theres not much difference without any load on them. Mind you, I keep very little psi in them when there is no load, so if you put a bit more pressure in there it should help with the dancing rear-end problem. it will also raise the back end of your truck tho; I can adjust my ride height by almost 4 inches with my airbags.

air ride answers

if you place the air bag setup between the frame and leafs (kit you can buy) makes a big improvement in ride even if on mud tires

but if you want the ride of a cadillac you do the complete air ride setup it normally runs around 2000 for parts and 2500 for labor it is alittle expensive but once it is done youd be glad you did it but if you just want the airbag setup in rear for the money it is well worth it and you get a way better ride

Sweet dude, thanks....Yeah I can get the parts at cost which saves big time and do the labor myself, so I think I will do the rear set up....Ideally it would be cool to do front and rear...
