i'm about to lift my 99 2wd f-150 and heard that it was a good idea to replace the shocks while your under there, the truck also has about 92,000 on it. my question is i'm lifting the truck about 3" in the front, probably with a spindle kit, and about 2-2.5" in the rear with either a block add-a-leaf or 2" replacement leaf spring kit, i think this will bring it to about or a little more than the height of a stock 4x4 f-150, so could i buy new shocks that are made to fit stock 4x4 f-150's, do they mount the same as 2wd?

i would apreciate any feedback, or if there is anyone that has done this or recomends a brand and size of shock, Thanks
