Front or Rear??

I've got a 2006 F-150 Supercrew 4x2. Am I better off to raise the front to make it level or use rear shackles? I'm planning on maybe getting some 20" wheels later but I'm not exactly sure yet. I want to keep the stock ride as much as possible. Also plan to add Borla or Magna Flow exhaust & billet grill in about a month or two. I haven't even got 900 miles on it yet. Thanks in advance for the help guys.

Welcome to the site! First of all, I suggest you sit down and decide what look you want for your truck. Do you want a "street truck" look with big wheels, billit grill, etc or an "off road" look with a brush guard, nerf bars and rugged all terrian or mud terrian tires? Either is cool. I guess I'm lucky enough to have one of each. However, personally I don't like it when people combine the two looks (like 22 inch wheels, low profile tires and a brush guard). To me thats sort of like going to church wearing a suit, a baseball cap and a pair of tennis shoes, it just doesn't go together. So decide what you want to end up with. Off road look, raise the front. Street look, lower the rear. Neither should affect your ride quality at all.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I think I'm going for the street look. The off road look just doesn't seem to work for my truck. Just doesn't make since to me trying to make a 2wd look like a 4wd. 22's are way too big for my taste & I thought the more tire you had the better the ride would be. One of the guys I work with said he thought it would look good with some 20" Harley Davidson wheels but I'm not sure if I need to go that big. Would love to see it level in the rear & fill up the wheel well some but not over stuffed & bulging all out like a pot belly pig or something. I've done the lowrider thing back 13 years ago with a Ford Ranger slammed to the ground. There is no way I want my truck so low that I'm scrubing over every speed bump & I want it to functional for pulling a trailer etc...etc... I'm 33 now & with the family, my ride has to be practicle if ya know what I mean. That's why I traded in my 03 Supercab for the 06 Supercrew. Gotta have some more room for the 2 kids.....lol
So who has the best rear kit for maybe like a 2 inch drop just to level it out with the front?

I hear you. I think all of the leveling shackles are about the same. I believe some come with shims to correct the pinion angle. It seems the 04-06's are very sensitive to changes in the driveline angles. You might want to check the 04-06 forums for suggestions, or do a search there for "lowering shackles". For tires, you might want to consider a 305/50-20. That will give you plenty of sidewall for a smooth ride.
