whats the difference
The FX4 package gives you skid plates, different wheels, decals and the shocks are painted white with Rancho stickers (even though the valving is the same as the shocks on the towing package).

like wandell said, I think after 2000 or 20001 4-wheel disc brakes became standard on all F150s.
In any case, the FX4 doesnt have much that you CANT get on a "regular" 4x4...other than the "Rancho" shocks and some styling options.

i thinks it must be after 2001, b/c mine has drums and its to 2000. its a 2wd, i don't know if that makes a difference or not.
