Exclamation 04 Lift Questions ???

How much will getting a 4 and 1/2inch lift effect the steering and ride on a 04 f150? would there be much difference in ride quality or steering between a 4 and 1/2 and a 6 inch lift? will i have a problem with running 35's with a 4.6 litre v8?

thanks

I have an 04 with a 4 inch Rancho system and 35x13x18s. Everything is perfect. Lost some power but Im sure it can be made up with gears. I had to tighten up my shocks to help tame the larger meats.

You'd probably be ok with the 4.6. If you are throwing 35s on there you evidently arent looking for speed. Its a 4x4 so that makes sense.

I have a pic in my gallery.

I havn't heard any complaints on the ride of anyone with the Rancho, Pro Comp, Fabtech or RCD lifts.

Ford F150 with 6" procomp lift

Yep, done.

That s my truck, a 2005 F150 Supercrew lifted. The 6" did not change anything in the ride, mostly because of my tire choice, BFGoddrich AT. Those tires are really quiet and the truck is riding smoothly. Lost a little bit in gas mileage but that's ok. It s a truck, so the gas mileage is not my priority

Check it out, in the following gallery
