The flaming will come, but not from me.

I took the factory lift blocks out of the rear on my truck, so it sits level. That's not technically lowering, but I like the way my truck sits much better. Someday I might get different wheels, but the tires won't be any bigger diameter, so that's not an issue to me.

I really like the look of raised 4X4's, and there are a lot of raised 4X2's I've seen on here that look great too, but it's not practical for me.

Good luck!

If you're asking me why, here's some reasons.....

1. I'm 5'8".
2. I carry a lot of tools and equipment in the back, and don't like having to lift things any farther than absolutely necessary.
3. I don't go off-roading. Not on purpose, anyhow.
4. I just like it that way.

I have a 4X4 because I live in Colorado and have to get where I'm going regardless of the weather.

For me it is because I drive a lot of people around, older and shorter people, I sell houses. I just need to be a little lower...

If you're just going to lower it to 2WD height, I don't thing it will matter much.

Lower than that might need some modification to keep it from bottoming out a lot (especially the rear axle) and make sure you don't lower it so that the front axles are angled upwards too much, as they won't last long that way.
