Need some help, I just bought a 01 xlt scab and I am looking for a leveling kit. I have searched the threads over and over, everyone seems to have FX4's or newer models. I am looking for advice and pics for my truck. I found a site selling 1" and 1.5" leveling kits from daystar. I want to make sure I don't go to high where the front looks higher then the rear. Can anyone please advise me! Are there models in my year with Torsion Bars?? Saw some mention of the possiblity in one of the other threads.

 

All 97-03 F-150 4x4's have the IFS with torsion bars. All the 97-03 F-150 4x2's have IFS with coil springs. If you have a 4x4, just crank up the torsion bars. If you have a 4x2, I'd suggest Daystar coil spring spacers to lift the front.

 

Thanks, I was just under my truck this morning and found my coils, they sit really low in the wheel well, so when I took my first look I missed them. Thank you very much for the info and I am going to by the daystar kit today, I just want to do some measuring to see if I want the 1 or 1.5 inch lift. This site is awesome
