Broken Spider Gear

Besides the hunk of metal breaking off one of the teeth on my spider gear and putting a whole in my cover, is their any other problem that could arise from this being broken. I just drained and replaced the fluid and cover and got as much of the metal out. This was also the reason that annoying ABS light was on.

depending how long it was driven the ring and pinion or side gears could be missing chunks. 'Also the metal in the oil could have taken out one of the bearings

I rolled the tires to check all the gears and the one chipped tooth was all I found. Also I dont think I drove it too long with the metal in the oil.
