torsion bar keys ?

has any one used torsion bar keys to lift the front end of their truck an inch or two? someone was showing me thier truck after doing that and i didnt know the positives and negatives of doing that. it seems like an inexpensive way to lift the front a little.

also, if i were to do that, is there a recommendation how to level the rear end to match? add a leaf spring, or maybe blocks? which would be safer?

thank you for any advice!

I wouldn't do it. All they do is allow you to put more preload on the torsion bars. You can do the same thing with your stock adjustment keys. A lot of people think that cranking the stock adjustment keys up all the way is a bad idea because you can get the CV joints at a more severe angle that will cause increased wear. The aftermarket keys just let you put even more preload on the bars. I would save your money and just crank the stock adjustment keys up to level the truck. Don't forget to have your front end aligned if you do this.
