Total Cost?

What should the total cost be for getting a 3" body lift and installed, 35" tires, 4.56 gears and installed? How much should all of that cost, that is everything needed to have a reliable 3" body lift right?

Well, the gear swap is going to be around 800-1000 bucks (assuming you have a 4x4), mounting and balancing for the tires will be around 50ish bucks (usually 10 or so bucks a tire around here) and as far as the BL goes, I have no idea. 200 bucks maybe?

Id say around 1500 bucks when its all done, give or take. Just depends where you get it done.

$5500 seems incredibly steep for a body lift, tires, and gears. Are you sure you're not quoting a suspension lift kit? I can't imagine anyone doing a body lift for that kind of money.

Well just for the body kit and install about $1500, for 4 tires not rims $1000, if you have a 4x4 front and back regearing $1200. Job cost if someone does everything for you $3700.

$5500 =

Thats what I paid for my Suspension Lift, Wheels, Tires, and installed!

Reflashing the computer is a matter of a few minutes, and if the so called Suspension Shop has ever done this before should hae the tool to fix that and shouldn't RAPE you for it that bad (if they charge you more than $75 to do it, take it to the Dealer)

I got a quote for $600 for install of my Body Lift. I also live in lift kit country, so the prices should be high. I think the quote you should be looking for is between $600 and $800.......Not $1500.00

The kit also comes with Bumper Brackets = no messing with frame horns

Gap guards are $80

you can find a decent wheel/tire combo for about $1,500

Gears should be $1,000 +/-

thats a first i've heard of a front end alignment after a BODY LIFT!
but since you are upgrading your tires to a bigger size, then MAYBE.

But all in all the total price with tax should be around $3,500

$5,500 is OUTRAGEOUS!! you would have to be a dumb mothaphuker to pay that

Thats my opinion on the whole thing

04procompLARIAT is right. I did everything myself except for the alignment. With the 6 inch fabtech suspension lift and 35 inch tires it came out to about $2300 or so.

A bunch of stuff, but the main things, longer spindles, front and rear crossmembers to lower the bottom a-arm, and drop down bracket to lower the rear mount for the torsion bars.

All the stuff I listed is used when doing a suspension lift. For the body lift you will be putting 2 or 3 inch spacers, whatever you decide, between the body of the truck and the frame. Plus whatever bumper relocating brackets they give you.

i agree if you have any mechanical ability and a friend you can do a body lift no problem i have done 2 and there really not that bad just time consuming,

Also i just bought new wheels and tires but am considering a lift kit now would a lift with just 33's look bad i dont really want to shell out another 12-1500 dollars on new tires again the ones i have are only 3 weeks old
